Amongst a strong field of veteran competitors, Slide 2018's Corey Gillies and Travis Brockway have finished 9th and 10th respectively at the 2010-11 Junior World Championships in Park City, Utah last weekend.
At 15 years old, Corey was the youngest competitor in the competition, while Travis @ 16 was the second youngest male competing.
For sliders this age to accomplish a top 10 in these events is outstanding - and speaks of their committment to learn and grow.
The youngest female competitor in the Women's field was also from Canada and the Inter-Provincial Team, being our Elisabeth Vathje. She finished in 16th after having an unfortunate groove-pop on her second run, a hazard in which all sliders must deal with.
All three sliders worked amazingly with the National Sliders from Canada, and were there to support Canada's Robynne Thompson when she crossed the finish line as the victor in the Women's Field.
