Overview of Skeleton National and Provincial Programs

National Team
This is the program composed of athletes who competed on the World Cup team the previous season. The team includes three men and three women.

National Development Team
This program is made up of athletes who competed on the Inter-Continental Cup team or Europa Cup team the previous season. The Inter-Continental team includes three men and three women, while the Europa Cup team includes two men and two women.

America’s Cup Team
The America’s Cup team is made up of athletes that have spent at least one season in the Slide 2018 program and have qualified and competed in at least one America's Cup race. The team includes four men and four women for any given race.

Inter-Provincial Team
The Inter-Provincial team is made up of athletes that have the potential to compete in an America's Cup Race. The team is determined after Selection Races each season and is composed of a minimum of 16 athletes and a maximum of 20 athletes. These are the athletes that will fill the America's Cup Roster spots for that competitive season.

Inter-Provincial Development Team
These are the athletes that have been recruited nation-wide and are entering their first year of skeleton sliding.

This is the program that ecompasses the operation of the Inter-Provincial Team and the Inter-Provincial Development Team
